GARRET SHIGENAKA

I am a photographer/retoucher/graphic designer out of Orange County, CA. I currently work at Living Spaces Furniture where I lead the photography team, and oversee all studio-created photo content. My other duties include retouching the majority of the photography and handling third party retouch outsourcing. Prior to Living Spaces, I worked at CAPS Association retouching Kawasaki Motor Company machines for 4 seasons. I am skilled with image modification, color-correction, and cleanup. I am a team player, and can take direction well. I have the ability to create actions in photoshop, so that production times can be streamlined.

 

I don't do much graphic design these days, but I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design from San Jose State University. I graduated with a 3.66 GPA. I still love working in illustrator and enjoy creating logos and graphics.

I have gained knowledge in studio photography, and video lighting the past few years working on lifestyle, offsite, and studio video productions.

 

I enjoy skateboarding and skateboard photography. I have been blessed to be able to shoot the X Games, Vans Park Series, Combi Pool Classic, Protec Pool Party, Soul Bowl at the US Open of Surfing, and many other events held in Southern California.
